Good... but...

No disrespect to the other reviewers, but they come off sounding a little fake. This book is good, but not great. I've taken several practice exams from this book and have two main complaints
(1) Several practice questions appear to be unrelated to the CISSP exam.
(2) For several practice questions, I disagreed with their answer; though, for these types of exams -- this is not uncommon. My big complaint: they don't cite any other sources to corroborate their own answer. I've seen a few testing products that provide references to 3rd party material.
Still, a good resource for the price.

Real CISSP candidate opinion

I considered my CISSP exam preparation very seriously. I purchased several Study books, including the big Shon Harris book. All of them had sample test quizzes on enclosed CD or online. The problem with those quizzes for me was that the questions were constructed in such a way that you could find the exact answer in the corresponding book - word by word. Not believing that the real CISSP exam would be constructed based on any Study book, I was looking for some independent CISSP exam prep questions.
The SSI Logic CISSP Exam Prep Questions book was exactly what I was looking for. Even though there are no books with real exam CISSP questions, the SSI Logic CISSP Exam Prep Questions book combines questions from many different sources and reflects the CISSP exam randomness. Do not even try to memorize all the questions and answers - understand the explanations.
Yes, the book has some error, but common, which technical book does not have any? Wikipedia is your best friend for errors free references.
Overall, the book is evolving in right direction by increasing the number of questions (I purchased the first 800 questions book).

Nailed the CISSP Cert on 1st Try!

This book was extremely helpful for getting into the ISC2 mindset. It doesn't matter what the real-world answer is. On the CISSP exam, you only need to understand and select the "right" as defined by ISC2. I read one consolidated study guide cover to cover, and referred to another study guide to research questions not in the first study guide. I then used this book almost exclusively to drill on test questions. When I missed one, I went back and researched the answer in my study guides, and I read the explanation in this book of why it was the "right" ISC2 answer.
This book is well-organized. It alternates domain specific drills with broader cross-domain quizes that tie concepts together, and offers brief explanations for each answer. Some of the questions in this guide are repetitive, and the "duh" factor is high for certain topics. But repetition is EXTREMELY helpful, because when you are in the exam room and the clock is ticking, you won't have to THINK about why an answer might be "a" or "b", you will have seen the question before, and you will confidently recognize the "right" answer as defined by ISC2. This study guide won't help you much with scenario questions, but it will help with all the rest. (For scenario questions, check out that big fat red and gold study guide and its companion test question book.)
I found a few questions in the book were badly worded, and some answers were flat-out wrong in the real world. The value of this book is to prepare you for a test with badly written questions, where the only "right" answers are defined by ISC2 and may not reflect modern technology or the real world. Suspend reality, drill the questions, research the answers. Until you pass the exam, put your energy into drilling, take a deep breath, and understand that the only "right" answers on the exam will be those selected by ISC2, regardless of what you do in the real world.
Bottom line - this book helped me pass the exam on the first try. I have since shared my copy with several colleagues who are studying for the exam, or who have now taken and passed the exam.
