About the Author
A. C. Cawley was Darnell Professor of English at the University of Queensland from 1959 o 1965 and Professor of English Language and Medieval English Literature at the University of Leeds from 1965 to 1979. He died in 1993.

I bought this used book for my college aged son. He needed it for a college class. Much cheaper than the campus bookstore. The book was in good condition.
This edition comes with a nice introduction and extensive notes. My son liked this book and said he learned a lot from it.

Interesting Reading

I bought this as a required textbook for a class. It is interesting; the introductions to each play really illuminate the material, and the footnotes provided resolve much of the confusion the language of some plays might give to the average reader. I would reccommend it as a textbook, as well as some interesting light reading for those interested in Medieval drama.
