A Mixed Bag

I picked this book up randomly, being a fan of her novels but not familiar with her complete body of work. I find that her short stories are more satisfying and expressive than her poems, although one of my favorite poems of all time is in this collection. Still, it is a mixed bag overall; some poems are gems and some are absolutely ignorable.

Margaret Atwood is known for her prose, but for those not familiar with her poetry, she is compelling and graphic as a poet as well. HIghly recommended.

This is my second poetry book I purchased of Margaret Atwood. I am in love with her style of writing. Of how she captivates the audience's attention and I actually get sad when the poem is over. Just Wonderful in many ways.
